In my last question a guy answer and said this.
"Just Curious" said:
"My religion is Islam & Islam forbids singing
(cos it gives birth to dancing which in turn gives birth to show body(skin revealing or not) in attractive poses which means seduction which takes u to create sense to have sex, which encourages u to have sex which is a great SIN in Islam)
So no song ..........."

First of all i find it hilarious that you would bring religion into the concept of dance and music. But then you are just making a pathetic statement for the sake of it.I'm a Muslim and not only do i dance and sing i teach it to and i wouldn't have to kick you off the dance floor you simply could not keep up. LOL

First of all, you have to understand there are lots of denominations in Islam, the main three being Sunni, Shi'a and Sufi. Only the most strict denominations ban music (with some exceptions), along with dancing, painting human or animal forms and such. However, most Muslims do enjoy music and consider it Hallal, see this link:
http://www.submission.org/music.html
The disagreement between Muslims is probable due to different interpretations of the Hadith, which not all Muslims consider accurate or sacred.
As a non-Muslim myself, this is how I understand things. Maybe real Muslims could clarify them.

hey a brother
this is the biggest myth that islam doesnt allow muslims to sing and dance in islam both men and women are allowed to both singing and dancing as islamic learned belive that singing and dancing are in the blood of the humnas and so a person following islam can always sing and dance but within certain parameters that is sing in the praise of thy lord or his prophet or else sing songs that have no sexual innuendos also prophet was appalled of those that didnt sing the koran while reading it but loud rock music is what muslims are asked to abstain from as it shall take them away from their lords remembrance as in islam we belive that the soul creation of man is for prasing his lord and then earn our lords countenance with the worldly life you live by doing all he ased us to do in the Koran so we are rich singing the Koran and also earning all lords countenance
about dancing men can dance and women can dance in the gathering of women without being movied thats coz islam loves not to make look its modest women into some girls of brothel kind and so the restriction. Got it now dear , it should be clear by now take care may lords peace be on you see you

There are ultra fundalmentalists who do not sing or dance. Most do. Same as in Christianity--------I had kids in a group I was in charge of, and their parents had a fit and took them out because we sang and did folk dancing-this is a sin?!!!!!!! And, it was only a group of little girls.
Some of the greatest music there is comes from the Mid-east. I have stacks and stacks of it.

and from what source did you get this from Oh smart one?... I am muslim and I sing and dance all the time. If God gave me a body to move and melodic voice. I use it and thank him for the gift.. We dont however go slutting around half naked like Madonna or something or go singing about how so and so made me feel last night. etc etc... but we can sing about good stuff and dance properly. (no belly dancing for me thanks)

Yah!
I said it...
!& its true...
Not being extremist, this is what a true muslim is forbidden....
well there are different levels of strictness..
thoses who want to be muslims be strict in their lives,
those who want to enjoy life, have made some rules a bit lenient for themselves, which is not ok according to islam...
So it is their thinking...
But I still say Singing & dancing id forbidden in Islam..
& thats true..
Those who enjoy it will regret.

How do you assume them to bounce donning an entire tablecloth wrapped around them And their making a music might in all possibility be muffled. there is in basic terms a slit for his or her eyes, the mouth is roofed for a reason.

I don't know about singing , but I have heard that it is said that it is ungraceful for a man to dance. Women should dance and men should watch.

Dancing's overrated. Get with the times. Islam is way ahead of the rest of the world. Life's not about singing and dancing. It's about stoning women who don't wear veils in public.
