I met a guy a few years ago after one or two dates, he moved to Asia for his job and two years later I got transfered to the same country for my job for a few months only. We started to see each other agian and it seemed that we hitted off agian. We both were too scared to tell each other our feelings till I gave in. I knew he liked me and I proposed to him to have a long distance relationship for now till we know each other better and we can plan later...I think he likes me very much...but he said he has to think about it since i totally cought him off guard and didn't know that I was up for a relationship with him. Also, he has a bad experience with long distance relationship before Currently it has been almost two days and I havent heard from. How long should i wait untill I totally loose hope?

Long distance relationships are hard to maintain. I don't think there is a specific length of time you should wait because I don't believe you should wait at all. It sounds like you need to just live your life and not count on this fellow being "the one." Like my Ma used to say-"there are a lot of fish in the sea". If it is meant to work out things will progress but why not get to know someone who lives close. There is a lot to say for building a relationship based on spending time together doing things not just talking or e-mailing each other. LOL

Remember that guys scare a easily maybe you have been a bit too strong on the words that you used. I think that you shouldn't have spoken about a relationship so quickly. He probably isn't ready for a relationship so what you should have found out in small talk you now have to do it the hard way. Ask him straight forward questions before you give up hope. There are times that people walk away from things that could result in a very good way and they don't stop to ask questions. You should go to him or call him before you go jumping to conclusions. According to his answer then you make up your mind on what you should do as in moving on or even moving in. Ask before you judge.

ME: You know, these long distances relationships are getting to be more and more due to probably our society today, the way we move about so much. I don't know how, or if they'll hold up. There's so much promiscuity today that I don't know if I'd like something like this. I'm more of a "homebody: but, if you think it would work, go for it.
Right now is what I'm speaking about, your in a quandary over what's going on, should you or shouldn't you?

It gives one something to think about, doesn't it, maybe you should think about it?

Two days for a big bomb like this?

I'd say about after 2 weeks, then it's time to be done with it.
