Almost anyone you ask would agree if you said that the actions of Hitler and the Nazis were evil and unjust. How then can we explain the fact that God CONDONED genocide in the Bible (Joshua and Judges) Also if God is just and fair to everyone as we believe, then why didn't he care about other ethnic groups in the old testament. He liked the Jews a lot but what about the people living in central america or ancient china in 1000 B.C. If God is fair than shouldn't he be fair to everyone?

Sounds like your having some doubts to me. I know the answer to this but I can not give it to you. All I can say is get to know God better and then you will know. It is not for us to question what he did, just love Him now.

If God condoned genocide in those passages, I would throw those passages out. Whether they'd invalidate God and/or the correctness of the Bible is up to debate.

Ducking the whole issue of God explicitly condoning genocide, I think God would place value on humanity's ability to determine its own affairs. Besides, everyone (most people [some people?]) goes to heaven anyway right?

Think about what it would be like in a world with God blatantly getting involved all the time. It would be like, "Oh, blast. Here comes God again. What is it now, God?" "Oh, Ted was about to do something evil but God had a chat with him, I hear." "Yes, in other news God issued another edict." "What was that sound? Must have been another miracle."

As you can quickly see, if God interfered in people's lives, you'd have a different world. All regimes would be theocratic, church would probably be minor or unnecessary, and everyone's lives would consist of some fundamental building blocks oriented around supernatural events. It would be a different, arguably horrific world.

You know, the New Testament is the part of the Bible that I think we are to go by. After the death of Jesus, who did bring the word of God, I do not remember he telling people to go out and kill children. The Bible is telling us how to live our life and taking stories to illustrate these rules and beliefs. God had ideas for mankind, but some of the old testaments were tests, but I just look to the New Testament for the words of Christ, and know that these were his true words. Some say that the Bible was tampered with, and stories after people died, were written many years later. All I can say is that if God can create the universe and all in it, then He can make sure the Bible has the words he wants people to live by. In the book of John, there is the theory that faith is the main thing for salvation. By faith are you saved, which means that no matter how skeptical people may be, if you have it in your heart, then you have it. If you do not believe, and skeptical, etc., then you don't. Your loss, I say. The skeptics will just never get it.

He is definately not an ALL loving being. I don't know who lied about that, but It cannot be true, if so.... he/she/it is IMMORAL and History proves it.

I certainly don't want to meet him, as I cannot find happiness in heaven knowing that billions upon billions of souls of people that i walked the earth with are burning in hell. I think I would find more happiness burning in Hell than in Heaven because at least in Hell I wouldn't have a guilty conscience.

great question, I am kind of glad that you see it our way. I don't condone Christians, but the idea of "Christianity." I don't condone the lessons, morals, or values that are taught through christianity. I do condone the lack of answers that Christianity fails to provide about 1. the Universe 2. The actual concept of God. 3. Why they did nothing about Hitler and other Crusades.
I certainly don't condone you, as you are human. I once was a christian, but now I am human.

I feel that God will not interfere with what we create as a society, as world. It is a shame that whenever we screw something up it is God's fault that he did not fix it. We need to stop looking to God and start looking within ourselves to fix these horrible crimes on humanity, among many other things. If God were to interfere then imagine how much we would turn to jelly. Everytime something went wrong we would look up and wait for Super God to come and save the day! We need to understand sooner than later it is on us how we choose to live this life.

Take advantage of the gift God gave us all to feel emotion, to solve problems, to learn right from wrong and to be strong.

God's judgment upon unrighteous people is righteous, he created us, he has the right to tell us how to live. He had Israel remove highly unrighteous nations who were doing grossly immoral acts including sacrificing their own children to false gods. God sent his Son to die for all mankind's sins so we could have hope of everlasting life in paradise. He used the Israelites as a Holy Nation to instruct others about Jehovah their God the only true God, to all that came to worship the true God. Evil is permitted until the issue of God's Sovereignty that Satan raised in the Garden of Eden is settled which is coming shortly, then God will remove all wickedness through His Son Jesus Christ who He appointed as KIng of the Messianic Kingdom which will rule over the earth for one thousand years to bring everything back to perfection.

Christianity is a tool for the powerful to control the masses - the whole idea of their God is nonsense as anyone with a brain can tell you.

If you want these idiots to think intelligently you must give them new brains.

What on Earth gives you the idea that God approves of genocide and the killing of children? (You obviously just don't understand how it works!)

God's function is not to interfere with your free will that he gave you. You must answer for your actions. Study up on the laws of karma and reincarnation and you might find the answers to your questions.
