Are you going to India? You write English so must speak it, and Spanish. People from India do speak English, but as far as Spanish check your translations before you go, could be kind of embarrassing or yet traumatic. One more thing India is pretty populated with diverse dialects. You could also visit the Yahoo India answers site. Have a safe trip.

Indian does not speak Spanish. But they are very few who learnt it for a specific purpose
