Use a deep conditioner at night and while you shower.
Get the hair wet in "HOT" water.
Now, here's the catch. Its genetics honey! You may never have it. So don't get too upset over things you can't control.
I have seen someone use a "relaxer" on their beard before to change the texture, yet I would seek pro help and not do that one at home.

Use eyebrow pencil on it to fill it in and make it look thicker.
