Why might a guy look at me like a deer in the headlights so to speak when he sees me sometimes, or do that thing where they sort of make corner-of-the-eye contact with you even though you try to smile and or say hi when you see them? Am I just an intimidating person? Sometimes he comes up to me and gets my attention to make small talk even when i'm not paying attention but other times I get that deer in the headlights look. This is just a guy I go to school with and like and once introduced myself to a while ago. And sometimes I'll be walking down a hall and I'll hear a "hey whats up?" called out from behind me and then again, more small talk. I'm beginning to wonder if he doesnt remember my name or why always the "hey whats up," it seems impersonal since I use his name when I say hi. Any advice on whats going on?

Hey Ann whats up, I think he is just shy or maybe a bit intimidated when it comes to expressing himself. You should just grab him and kiss him, get it over with and right when you let go of him say hi my name is Ann and shake his hand, maybe tell him to call you sometime turn and walk away look back and smile and go on about your day. It sounds crazy but it will work, maybe he is just waiting for you to make the first move.
