Help, I co-signed for my daughters to get cars. Now that they (the cars) are showing on their credit reports will they be able to get financing on their own. Any suggestions on helping them to qualify before I re-fi my house.

They had ok scores but nver a major purchase. Just wondering now that the cars are showing on their credit is there anything special they will need to do to get qualified on their own.

Have your daughter open an account at a credit union. Make 8-10 months of payments on time, as well as any other credit on time, and she should have no problem refinancing the car.

if you cosigned it was because there credit rating was to low,they will have to build a payment history over time before refi to there names
