The calcium in milk is good for your bones and teeth, but it doesn't make you grow taller than you would if you didn't drink milk.

There are many books and sites about height increase. They talk about doing certain exercises, dieting, and imagination. Many people try them and are disappointed, so I wouldn't advise you to give them a go.

There are just two proven ways to increase your height. One is daily injections of human growth hormones (HGH) which make your liver produce a greater amount of a protein called insulin like growth factor one (IGF1). This protein makes the cartilage cells at the ends of your bones reproduce faster and so it makes your bones longer. However, this doesn't work after you achieve puberty. You should talk to your doctor about it and get their opinion.

The second way is a long and painful surgical procedure called leg lengthening. It's usually done for children with polio and people who suffer from dwarfism, but in recent times it's also been applied to members of the Constitutional Short Stature, meaning people whose heights are in the fifth percentile, or who are shorter than 95% of others their ages. You're 1.63 meters tall so you could be considered, but this is a very severe operation and recovery can take a year. You can read about it at http://www.shortsupport.org/Health/Leg-Lengthening/index.html.

By the way, Charlie Chaplin, Dustin Hoffman, Martin Scorsese, and Michael J. Fox are all quite short. Height should not be the measure of a man. :-)

3. Run, jump, play out door games
4. Sleep well- at least 8 hrs a day. prefer at least 1 nap of minimum 6 hrs.

Just do sports and get a nice body so you won't feel so insecure about your physical appearance. Girls don't really care too much about height when dating I think, if you're a decent dude you should do fine.

Height is mostly genetic though unless you grew up in a bunker during WW1 eating stale potatoes...what a poor jab at an analogy.

Don't drink milk, by all means.....Name another mammal that drinks milk past infancy? None. Name another mammal that drinks another mammals milk. None. Milk is actually a sort of lactose poison that causes cancers like you wouldn't believe....they just won't advertise it for obvious reasons. You want to have a strong intake of protein....especially after 2pm in the afternoon....Remember: carbs for energy before 2 and protein after. Have a protein bar an hour before bed...it'll help. good luck.
