Lawyers, preferably corporate lawyers but any ol' lawyer will do.
Suit and all.
After a few days, you'll have plenty of lobsters hanging off them.
Sharks and bottom-feeders won't bother the "bait," either --- it's a matter of professional courtesy.
When I trapped crawdads in eastern Washington state, I used liver. It's stinky and draws them in quickly. However, a few good-sized lobsters might consume your liver bait too quickly.
In that case, use chicken necks. When I trapped crabs off the Washington coast I used chicken necks, wired to the bottom of the trap. This kept the crabs occupied.
If you have the time, buy the chicken necks two days before and don't refrigerate them. Let them spoil and get stinky. The stench will make a better scent in the water.

I usually use mossbunker, herring or whatever trash fish the local trawlers have.Make sure it's as fresh as possible. Lobster, although scavengers , seem to like fresh dead as opposed to old bait.
