Like Why are christians hypocrites? Why does God allow pain? Why do you believe in a sky fairie? How can anyone believe in a fictional book? .... these questions are just statements of intollerance, are they not?

I think everyone on here is a hypocrite of some kind! God does not allow pain, satan does and if people would learn that in order for God to heal you, you have to believe in him and PRAY! Do you expect things to just happen with your looks or because you say so? Which fictional book are you refering to? I hope it is not the Bible, because that is the one and only true book in the world that will save you from hell. You sound miserable, in fact so miserable that you had to ask such an angry question.

Wow, um, no! They're not "intolerant" at all.
"Why does god allow pain" seems especially legitimate. I remember as a teenager being very stumped by that one and seaching for genuine answers. There are dozens of books about the topic as well.
People have different levels of what they consider to be "intolerant." I suspect yours is lower than most. I agree that questions like "Why are ALL...." are rather silly because "all" of a group isn't this way or that way. But people come on here to have a serious exchanging of ideas. If questions like "why does god allow pain" are offensive to you, then this isn't the place for you.

NO...some of these questions ARE legit. Many who say they are christian, act the opposite, ARE hypocritical. Why does God allow pain? That is a valid question....you can easily seperate what is sarcasm, what is a serious question and what is just a question meant to ruffle feathers.

Questions of self defense against the very dangerous answer to mysticism: violence. It's like asking a dishonest man, "How dare you sir!" If you aren't being reasonable, but yet not violent, being a rational civilized human being, my recourse will only be to attempt to reason with you. Failing that I will leave you to your insanity, but if you attempt to threaten me, a criminal act, then I will fight back, with well justified force.
