I wouldn't recommend this as a long-range strategy, but if you're only going to do it for a few days...cut out carbs as much as possible. Try to take in less than 40 grams a day. (as a reference a 12 oz. can of most regular sodas are around 50 grams). Try not to exceed 40 for the entire day.

Green tea is a good, natural thermogenic. Take in plenty of water. I would also recommend drinking some sort of protein shake 2-3 times per day. 1 scoop of most powders will give you approx. 20 grams of protein. A place like GNC has plenty of different kinds. Designer Protein is one that tastes good and is well tolerated by most people. Try to take in some protein, either through the shakes or some low calorie/low carb food (0 or low fat cottage cheese is excellent) every 3 hours or so for a total of 4-6 VERY small "meals" per day. You can also eat salads with light or no dressing anytime if you're experiencing hunger pangs.

You want to take in protein to prevent catabolism, which is your body breaking down muscle to compensate for the calorie deficit you'll be experiencing. The muscle in your body consumes calories even when you are just sitting down, so you want to preserve as much muscle as possible while burning as much fat as possible.

Finally, if you're able, do cardiovascular exercise in the morning as soon as possible after you wake up, then again in the evening but not within 3 hours of bed. Do 30-60 minutes of cardio. Follow the evening cardio with 15-20 minutes of resistance (weight) training. The resistance training is another important tool to help spare your body from catabolism. Be sure to not train the same bodypart 2 days in a row.

Based on years of personal experience and reading many, many books and scientific articles on weight-loss, I believe this is a very sound approach that you could expand after the 3 days into a long-term, more balanced approach to weight-loss.

Liquid only diets almost always cause the person who's undertaking it to rebound severely after they come off it and unfortunately most people will gain back more weight than they temporarily lost. I would like to see you, and everybody for that matter, be happy with themselves for the long-haul, not just 3 days.

Never underestimate the power of plain old water. If you replace all of the things you drink with water ( this means drinking nothing but water) you will be surprised at the difference! Not only will you start to lose weight, but your skin will start to look better, and you'll start to feel better and more energetic! This doesn't mean that you can splurge and eat whatever you want, but it will help. Some of the biggest things to watch are fat, carbs, and sugar (especially sugar, because too much of it tends to make you feel tired all of the time) . Raw vegetables are also a good thing!
