It depends on where you are but you should ask for a building inspection before you pay money for the house. You will have to pay money but it is a good investment. You should arrange to go to the inspection if possible. The owners may also have to provide relevant information to you about the house.

www.allhomes.com.au is a really good website to find certain houses in price ranges. it also tell you how much the area's around the house where bought for. hopes it helps ya
