the software is not (for now) but if you download things that you do not have a right to (most mp3 song files) or software, movies that is illegal

That relies upon on your point of view. maximum if not all get carry of customers are unlawful, simply by nature of what there used for ie downloading song and movies, truthfully possessing or downloading a customer isn't unlawful, so the respond on your question isn't any the loose version of limewire isn't unlawful, even though what you % to get carry of as quickly as you have it would desire to be unlawful.

The application itself is NOT illegal, however, downloading copyrighted material without express consent of the copyright holder is illegal. Hope this helps you out.

Nope.
Limewire itself is not illegal.. However downloading copyrighted materials that you have no permission to have..
Such as downloading songs like Linkin Park without paying for them is illegal.. Same as downloading movies and such...
