I've been doing that since I was 21. It works like a charm.
Actually we clean the house on Sunday morning. After going to church so much as a kid, I like the tradition of doing something "unpleasant that is supposed to be good for you" every week at that time.

Hmmmm. You sure seem to know a lot about people you've never seen or been around before.
If/when there are people attending church for the reasons you state, it would indeed be disrespectful to God, not to mention a waste of time for those doing it. In this day and age, when people (such as yourself) feel feel to express bigotry and disrespect toward all things Christian, there is really no need for anyone to show up in church unless they really want to be there to worship, so I doubt seriously that such behavior is anywhere near as prevalent as you presume. I know it not to be the case where I attend church.

I would like to know where you are getting your statistics? Also where you are getting your information about what is being said or done? I think that asumption is more disrespectful than seeking the truth. (You know what "they" say about assume don't cha?) You may prefer to "sleep in" but many of us are actually going to worship the Lord our God..who is the Creator, Sustainer, & my loving Heavenly Father, & Savior!
Blessed be the name of Jesus Christ to all generations!
Hebrews 10:25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

it's not as disrespectful as not going at all. One day He will ask us individually if we went to worship Him on the Sabbath. It's the least we can do for our creator and keeper of our soul. What will your answer be. "Oh, I was sleepy that day God, didn't even think about You." "I didn't have anything to wear." "I don't like Alice, so I'm not going." The people who go to church are not perfect but are trying to do good, and give just part of one day of the week to worship. Oh, and we wear jeans to my church.

I know what you are saying. However my church family is full of love and peace. If someone tries to gossip, we will always direct them to go and make ammends with that person. Everyone in our family is involved in Gods will and works. There are no pew warmers, and I have yet to see any saturday night bar flies, going to repent on sunday. I love going to worship with my family. It brings us closer to eachother, and closer to god.

At the church I belong to, God himself appears on the altar at every service.
If he doesn't mind the gossip and other nonsense, then neither do I.

What a load of fuzzy logic.
