I don't know why but for some reason we broke up. Of course it was hard on both of us. There were times he would say I broke up with him. Of course that was not true so I would counter the comment. He had been dating (and may still be dating) another girl, but he calls me now and then to see"how I'm doing." When I asked about his girlfriend he would not tell me much. Oh she's fine...that's all he'd say. I don't know what I should think of this guy. Sometimes when he calls I wonder, by the questions he asks and information he puts out, whether he's testing me to see whether I still like him. How can someone love a guy that she believes has left her? I have my boundaries, so I don't date guys after we've seperated but I think maybe I should make an exception for him. My question is what are these conversations on the phone call then? (by the way when he starts doing strange things like this I end the call fast)

AroseC: The reasoning behind the desire to want to talk with you is your ex wants you to be a security blanket for him, in case this relationship with his new lady friend fizzles out ! Why would you make an exception for him particularly, as he has dumped you and you him? Do you want to be kept on a "string" for just in case ? I can understand you having an affinity for him since you went out with him already. BUT; he has a girlfriend in place of you now ! That translates into closure concerning your relationship with him. Ask him not to call you anymore because its "over" between you both and you don't need him toying with your emotions like that !
