OK so don't put diapers on him during the day at all. Then he will dislike the feel of the wet undies.
Use some sort of bribery as a tool. Although I don't recommend food as a sort of bribery.
Maybe a matchbox car or something like that.
It only takes a small child 3 days to develop a new habit, you may be the one who has to tough it out.
Good luck.

He is ready to potty train. Get rid of the diapers and use "big boy" underwear. Whenever he has an accident get him to change his clothes with some help from you. Don't get angry with him. Just tell him that soon he will be using the potty like a big boy and he will no longer have accidents in his clothes.
Make it a fun time to potty train and let go of the frustrations that you may be having. Stay positive with him and he will soon be using the potty.

Your son is used to using the potty. You should have taught him to use the toilet when he was about to turn 1 year old. Now he relies too much on it. Try throwing the potty away and make it look like an accident. Try hiding it somewhere so he will never find. Or tell him some grandparent folklore. You know, topics about being adults. Tell him, "potty are just for babies, if any of your friends find out they will tease you all the time". Think up of any grandparent folklore they should change your son's mind.

At his age he may be beyond the potty stage. try letting him use the toilet. Have daddy take him in with him when he goes. Don't put too much attention on his training or he might get so nervous he'll do the opposite of what is expected.. You could try sitting him on the potty and giving him a book to look at while you read him a story!Just relax and give him time and he'll be fine! My boys (5 of them) would not pee in the potty, So I put a dixie cup dispenser in the bathroom and they would pee in a cup and throw it away!.Then I bought a little step stool so they could reach the toilet and that worked great!

1. Make it fun, really fun. Put cheerios to "aim" at in the toilet.
2. Model it. Have hubby or older brother "go" in front of him. Praise the person after their done like CRAZY.
3. Sit him on the toilet even if he's kicking. Then sing or do something really funny or crazy. Praise the heck out of him!
4. Rosie O'donnell with her many adopted children insists that if they sit at least and go..the first week you reward with a piece of candy and it does the trick every time.
5. Make sure the seat is good for them. Is it an "insert" with cool cartoons on it that goes on the "big people's" toilet? Those ones seem to win hands down with kids rather than their own potty seats on the floor.
6. Catch them on the schedule...if you know they go 20 mins after a nap. set him on toilet and wait 20 minutes. Something will come out!
GOOD LUCK ; )

put the potty in every room that he's in. If he's playing lego in the living room, family room, kitchen, where ever keep the potty there too. That's what I did with both my boys and it worked both times. Ya see it's a huge novelty for the potty to be where it shouldn't be, and when they do use it your constant praise and attention for a job well done will eventually pay off. I also bought a cheap bubble gum machine that they could put pennies into after they were done much to my mother's chagrin.

A couple of things worked for me. For one child, another was visiting that used the toilet, mine wanted to copy. Another child copied his father. I potty trained in the summer, when I could keep diapers off, and we spent time outside, accidents were easier to deal with. Just relax, is probably the best advice I can give. Have fun, let him drink up till supper, then no later, perhaps a sip, but, that's it, till morning, get up in the middle of the night and toilet him.... it will be fun, then all of a sudden, he will get it.
