uFor the last four or five months I have had the sound of my heart thumping in my head, neck,or somewhere close enough to hear it.Its fairly constant but seems to slow down or almost cease when im at rest. When I get up some mornings its booming I can hear my heartbeat pounding and sometimes it last most the day this way or sometimes its only for a little while.I hear different volumes of it on different days and although I can usually not hear it when I put my fingers in my ears , I have had an ent tell me its Patulous ET..Where the tubes don't open and close like they should and thats why I have the sound of my pulse in my head.I also have tmj.I would tend to agree with him but at night I have a vein that I can feel behind my head that feels like its pushing up and down. The ENT checked me for tumors, and artery blockages and doesn't seem to be anything like that but It really worries me and some days I can hear my heartbeat just like I have a stethoscope on.The beat doesn't sound normal

I hear it too, but not constantly. It mainly is when I have held my respiration for a while or while at the gym or doing some sort of cardio or other physical activity. I don't believe its dangerous, after all, you are just hearing yopur heart beat.
Best of luck to you
