I was leaning toward costa rica, but then i heard that eveyone speaks english there and so i wouldnt be completly submersed into the language. Would another choice be better?

If you live in the US, it would be more helpful to learn Mexican or Central American Spanish, Cuban Spanish if you live in Florida or New York. Puerto Rican speakers can pretty much talk to everyone. I still think Costa Rica would be a good choice, even with a lot of English speakers there to help you through the rough spots. They'll be speaking mostly Spanish with some US slang thrown in, but you probably can't escape "hey" "baby" and "wussup" no matter where you go today.

If you do not have a microphone purchase one. My mic. was 15.00 you will need it for the program I am going to suggest. This is the most fabulous Spanish learning program I have ever used It is "Learn to speak Spanish Deluxe". It comes complete with a Spanish PDA Dictionary which will function on your computer too. The way it works is as you are learning you can say the phrase or word into the microphone and a Gage on the program tells you how close you are coming to pronouncing the word like a native of the country. You will also be able to learn how to conj agate sentences and proper use of the genders. You also get messages in an extended text box that help you understand the culture and mores of the Hispanic people. There is also a part of the program that allows you to have simulated conversations with virtual people. You talk to them and they answer you. I can't even begin to touch the surface of all the wonderful features of this program. I can only tell you it was also very affordable I bought it through Broaderbund and it is manufactured by The Learning Company. It also comes with a computer work book within the program and a separate hand held reference book.It cost around $19.95. I have owned the program for two years I never get tired of playing with it. It truly is fun and I can have conversations with actual Hispanic people who can't speak any English.

The best place to learn good Spanish pronunciation is the schools at Cuernavaca, near Mexico City.
In Spain, the lifestyle is more expensive and Costa Rica they speak like singing.

I would go to Costa Rica; this is my reasoning: If you want to learn a language that's used by the most people, then Latin American Spanish is the way to go; there are a lot more people that speak it, and it will be more useful in terms of business. While Castillian Spanish, as spoken in Spain, is "purer," Latin American Spanish will allow you to work with far more people in whatever field or industry you choose.

Spain. Learn from the mummy nation. I'm in South Florida and I truthfully feel Spanish whilst being spoken to through Latin American (no longer all)nations is not so lovely, it butchers the language. I take into account my buddy telling me the soiled spanish used to be from cuba, puerto rico, dominican republic.. and someplace else.. However, for illustration you know the way the English talk, from England? Americans talk English too and good.. it does not sound lovely, it is simply undeniable. It's the equal factor with Spaniards. They have an accessory, no longer simply any Spanish accessory, it is uniquely unique. I do have got to admit, no offense, Cuban Spanish is terrible :[. My Spanish trainer in Middle university nevertheless used to be from Argentina, and her spanish used to be best! It used to be very transparent and she or he used to be a well trainer. :D

That is where Spanish started. Or (if it's available) learn Spanish on Rosetta Stone.
