Its attention seeking.
When children they said a bad word, they got a shocked supprised look from people around them that were otherwise busy with conversations or such.
Since then it was an attention seeking, Teenagehood its im a rebel so cool thing.
One day they will grow up, and respect others around them.

Not everybody does. Some do becuase they have such a limited vocabulary, they're unable to express their emotions with out resorting to eepletives. Others however, who do possess a healthier vocabualry may still use such language because they don't find curse words to be all that offensive. I, myself see no harm in using curse words as long as you are curtious of other's feelings and are able to censor yourself when necessary. If around people I don't know, I'll ask if they're offended by profanity and depending on their response, I'll act accordingly. If you feel uncomfortable asking this question then just engage in conversation with them. In listening to the words they use, you'll be able to acurately gauge their feelings on the matter and won't even have to bring the subject up. It's all a matter of curtosy and tact I think. You're not going to hell or anything like that if use these words. Just be mindful of other's feelings and everything will be fine.

Ever just got out of bed and your all sleepy and then you stub your small toe on something. Nothing is a replacement for the F word in this scenario. I prefer the use of swear words that crappy text message writing, where people use numbers instead of letters etc. Laziness is worse than a bit of swearing.

During our childhood we develop our conscience, or super-ego. Many dos and don'ts are acquired during this period, both consciously and subconsciously.
When we experience something that frustrates us or angers us, we often vent our frustration through the use of profanity.
Some individuals will use profanity for its perceived shock value on others. These people are simply immature; because they are deliberately doing something "naughty," as a child would do.

Mostly because it becomes a habit. When you are young it is forbidden so to speak, as you get older you say them to express strong emotions and feelings, after that, well it just is a habit you kind-of forget the words you are even saying.

Some people think that it is cool...and they think that if they speak bad words it would make them look brave as nobody else there's to say those words...some people also say it out of habit after hearing other people say it

I think you are referring to shortened speak, but im not sure. we do it like in txt messages or on msn messenger to save time... so much for the english language eh? you are just proving that spelling really is a waste of time, if we can all understand this question then what is the use of spelling?

With teens it is a way of showing that they are getting older... with men it is a sign of virility... and with women its a way of taking up a social standing... in each case it shows quite the opposite... ;)
