Usually they don't especially if the parlor is very hygeinic and well-established. In some severe and rare cases, tattoos have caused blood poisoning. Strict hospitals also do not accept blood donations from people with tattoos since this would make them automatic candidates for AIDS.

It all depends on how sensitive your body is. People get tatoos for the reason that they think tatoos look really cool and it will be easier for them to get a boyfriend or girlfriend. Getting back on subject though when you get a tatoo it is obvious they use a needle. It is a pretty small one but they poke you with it about 5,000 times. If you have sensitive skin you may get a blood infection leading to clots and later in life strokes. However if you do not mind getting poked with a needle so many times and this is something you want I would go for it. Hope this Helps

Tattoos where actually used to heal the body at one time, from there they moved on to a tribal right of passage, then to an anti-social statement to main stream. Tattoos applied in a clean environment do not hurt the body. They do tend to heat up quicker in the sun. Mine gets real hot real fast. But as for any harm, i have never seen a case where actual harm was caused by the tattoo itself. The most common complication is infection by poor hygiene of either the artist and his/her equipment, or poor post tattoo care by the person them selves

Yes, they do. But not anything you can't handle. Remember this is a wound, no matter how pretty it is, you should treat it as such.
Do a lot of research, try stopping buy BodyMods.com it's a great sight that lets you see all kinds of diffrent body modifications, and gives you the best advice I have seen on the net, to take care of them. Good luck and remember you are intentionally harming your body for whatever reason and just treat it like you would most wounds and it will look great!

YES!

Ever look at an eighty or ninety year old with tatoos? Wrinkles and flabbing skin overlapping faded tatoos, real pretty.

Well they hurt! lol

If one has an allergic reaction it can harm them.
If the tattoo artists is careless it can harm them from infection or just plain carelessness.

The apparently sting during MRIs, but I think that was proven false on Myth Busters.
