I've been told by friends that sometimes your first love can be long and drawn out because its your first experience with the opposite sex intimately. I'm just wondering what is the worst case of first love/first sex partner you have ever heard of/experienced, because I have been involved in a first love relationship and we have been through some rough times but we always come back to each other. I am starting to think she is the one because we have endured so much together... Or is it just first love?

Well, something of the sort happened to me. For a moment I was thinking the same thing. What I found out was that there was nothing wrong with the first love syndrome. I realized this after meeting with several elderly people whose marriages had lasted 25+ years. Many said that the one thing that determined whether this was the right relationship was realizing that they constantly needed to go back to it. Furthermore, they realized that there would always be someone else who would be better and more compatible with them than the person they're dating. What they came to terms with was that they still wanted to spend their lives with this person. It was their decision to commit to the person that mattered in the end than if that was the right person.
So if you feel that you would like to commit to this person, by all means go ahead and do so. But keep in mind a commitment means that you have accepted the fact that there maybe someone out there, that is better than this person for you. Yet knowingly you have accepted to be with that person.

you may think that this girl is the one for you, and at the moment you would probly be thinking that you would spend the rest of your life with her if you had the chance, this may be the case but if you and her keep on breaking up and then getting back together it is a just a game! i have played it myself and it was to my first love, but then i started going out with other people and realised that what i was doing was rong and can break hearts! if you keep letting her do this to you then you will end up with a broken heart! and she will do it to others and hurt them! my answer is to go out with a couple of other people befor you make the descision to stay with her! that will give you a variety and taste of other women and you may find another woman that you truley love!!!

it is first love syndrome, since it is ur 1st time, u tend to want to prolong the relationship even when everyone around u knows it is doomed
