This is not an insignificant win.
Evander won a twelve round decision for a legit regional title (USBA) against a much younger fighter, who, though he was no legend in the making, was a respected contender with good boxing skills.
Hey, who knows, maybe God is in Evander's corner.

This is a significant win. I remember watching Fres Oquendo box Chris Byrd, the judges gave the win to Byrd but it was clear to me that Oquendo was the victor so I think he is a better fighter than people give him credit for. I wish Hollyfield the best. I'd like to see him retire before he gets permanent damage but anytime he is in the ring I'm rooting for him!!! He is still the Real Deal.

Yes, and I consider Oquendo a fallen promise of any championship as he did in the past.

He's won two in a row!!!!! I believe. I had doubts he could fight since he's lost his last few fights. He looked great. Hope it's going to be enough for him to win the championship once more. He's got the biggest heart in boxing.
