I don't know about you guys, but it really irritates me every single time I spot a "there" when the person who typed it meant to say "their". I can live with typos or incorrect grammars on speed-typing (i.e: im, u, luv etc.), but THERE and THEIR? Firstly: it's not speed-typing and secondly, they have the same amount of letters.
Phew.

And ironically, I'm not even a native English speaker. I know this isn't a resume or something, but I think languages, any languages, should be respected by typing and (at least try) saying it correctly. Thanks for responding, guys :)

Not to mention "they're"
I couldn't agree more with you!
It is especially upsetting for non-native speakers as me. I find it either a lack of education, or a lack of respect, since even uneducated person using the Internet could take some time and
try to perfect his/her spelling or grammar!

It's not just you! Spelling doesn't even require an understanding of grammar and punctuation. It is the most basic of language skills. Seeing a failure, by so many, to have an understanding of even this most basic of skills bespeaks much greater failures. This realization of the dumbing down of our society should be disturbing.

Yes this drives me crazy too. Lot's of things with regards to grammar bug me too. And words that people use wrong or mispronounce them. one that bugs me is when people say Often.. OFF TEN . the "T" is silent Y'all. also irregardless...ahhhh
this is not a work .... It is simply regardless. oh and this one is the worse.... alot..... ahhhhhh it is two words ... a lot.... thanks for letting me vent... don't even get me started on the double negatives.....

It usually happens when people use the spell checker and just hit okay without re-reading.

I know what you mean.
But well It's not like this is school, no one is going to correct you or lecture you if you don't spell correctly or use good punctuation.

Their are certain ways to state this. Did you really have to put it on Y!A? Those people that do that, there just retarded. Don't worry about it.
