I mean, if He's God and all that and a bag of chips, then He should have godlike strength and not get tired. I bet He could beat up Superman if He wanted to, so getting tired sounds like a fairy tale. Maybe He needs more carbs, eh?

he got tired because he can do anything he wants and he wanted to get tired. or not. maybe he can't beat up superman either. that would make a great comic.

While the bible says God rested, it actually means he was finished. Then he stepped back to take a good long look at what he had just created.

He wasn't tired, He simply rested. The reason was to set an example for us. Just try working 7 days a week sometime and you'll find out why. God knew we needed 1 full day off to rest and to commune with Him.

I am amused at the one answer saying that God is "weak" and "false." A false being cannot be weak. A false being cannot be anything but false. No qualities are attributable to that which does not exist.
Anyway, God rested, meaning that he stopped creating. You know, a body is either in motion or at rest, and at rest does not automatically equate to tired. It just means currently not in motion.

i'm no expert on the subject, but as i understand it, magical ghosts have health points, like on some video games.
god used an attack that cost him half his HP to create the world, so had to rest before he fought the boss of that particular part of the game. to restore his HP.
if you're wondering, god fought that monster 40 times before finally winning. i told him that maybe he should try sports games.

Rested means HE ceased HIS creation activities. He rested or stopped creating.
