I highly recommend Ray Comfort's books Hell's Best Kept Secret and the Way of the Master. If you type either of those phrases into your search engines you will find his website.

The key to accepting Christ as saviour, for anyone, no matter whether they are an atheist or a member of any other religion, is to be convinced and convicted of one's own sin. Once a person's heart is broken by the bad news (that they have sinned against God) their heart is ready to be healed by the good news, that Jesus has paid the price for their sins. This is basic lesson of the Bible and the message Jesus gave us when he witnessed to people. The model is "Repent and Believe the Gospel".

Here is how it works...

When I engage anyone to witness to them, I begin always with God's law, the 10 Commandments. I say, "let me ask you a question, are you a good person?" They usually answer yes, of course. Then I walk them through the God's standard of a good person. I say "have you ever told a lie?" And I take it from there. This method doesn't get a convert every time, but it plants the right seed that may one day lead to repentance in their heart. If the Holy Spirit is really at work in that person's heart, then they may even accept Christ before your very eyes. That would something to thank God for!!

This is a very effective way of making people answer their own questions. I think that is key. Anyone who asks you, "why do you believe?" is really asking you, "why do I not believe?". You as a Christian, must take on the work of preparing their heart to receive the Word.

Hey, this is also a great way to witness to professing Christians who claim to know the Lord, but couldn't have picked him out of the crowd at Calvary if they had been there. The Bible teaches us that few professing beleivers are true believers. Don't believe me? Check it out here at the link below. God bless

Ok, these are difficult at times when you do have enough time. To the question of 'why do you believe', return it with the 'why do you believe in air' It's so much more than a seeing is believing, it's more of a 'feeling' is believing thing. There is no quick answer to that question that would satisfy anyone. You have to hear and read his word and understand what he has done and why to know why you believe. And for people that refuse to believe and are just trying to prove us wrong, I'm sorry but there is nothing you can say to satisfy them period. The best thing is to just pray you can find the words when you need them or the actions to show them, or else they find out on their own. And for the 'jesus is God' thing, it is very confusing for unbelievers. Jesus was a manifestation of God in the flesh form. God was still in heaven to whom Jesus prayed to, but only God, or his manifestation, could have lived a perfect life. Prayer is the best advice I can give you.

first you need to know that faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God! So if the person is saying he totally dont believe you have to start at John 3;16 this is what God did. After hearing that His word starts to work on them and you just go about your business and pray over the seed. And then if they respond like what does that really mean, you take them to acts 2 about the holy spirit! Some will recieve the truth gladly and others will reject you and call you names, thats good, that means your being salty evough!
But here is how I close the deal, I get to the curses in this world and on us and people we know and let them know that there is a devil loose and that the devil will not leave you alone unless you use the NAME OF JESUS! And you will not gain access to his holy spirit, without the NAME OF JESUS! They need to read John. Let God do the work! You will have what they need at that exact moment by the power of his holy spirit.

Just a thought--- Moses was told that no one can look upon the face of Almighty God and live. Father God wanted to find a way to reconcile Himself to man so that He could offer man eternal life and give man(woman) a home in heaven. Since He could not come He entered into the seed of woman and became a man but Jesus said, If you have seen me you have seen the Father.,That is just a sample of why I believe Jesus is God, They are three in one. separate but totally in agreement about everything. Jesus said all authority is given to Me be My Father.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, so that who shall ever believe in him shall have everlasting life.

Simple and all inclusive, because we believe Jesus died for our sins on the cross, we believe in the trinity, and through our faith we are justified and will have everlasting life.

Ultimately though, the Bible says that those who are of flesh can not discern the things of the Spirit; it is foolishness to them. So, you can't cast pearls before swine and expect them to understand your beliefs in many situations. We represent God, but he does not need defending, because he's God after all : )

When I'm *asked* about Jesus' deity, I smile and say, "God said it, I believe it, and that's good enough for me." But if people actually say Jesus is *not* God, then they're just trying to stir up trouble. To those types I say, "Well, you can always go and ask Him yourself."
Hope this helps; God bless you!

Tell them you have come to know Jesus through studying his life, you know his Spirit by spending time with him, and because of this you believe. Christians don't have to have proof to believe; Christianity is a religion of faith.

"I have experienced many of his miracles in my life". If a person took the time to actually think about all the great blessing they have, and have had in their life, they too would realize it was more than just a coincidences how their life around them has come together so nicely at times.

It is not good to answer what others tell you too. I think you might find this link helpful, you can read it or listen to it, but it will give you a true Christian point of view!
