Are you trying to say that the Odometer still shows when the key is turned off?

guess what, even if you do disable the odometer in the dash dodge still has you outsmarted, they also store an independant odometer reading right in the computer and they will read this when the vehicle goes back,if they differ and you dont have a certificate for a speedo head change you will be charged with fraud

In all states this is illegal. Federal law prohibits tampering with an odometer. Selling of cars with knowledge of false odometer readings is bad news.

How dishonest of you. You are trying to defraud them and possibly one of us. If they have any sense they use the wheel speed sensors and record the mileage in the engine management system, that way you can't defraud them while the engine is running.

You should also bear in mind that it wouldn't be the first time someone has been caught by posting on the Internet about their dishonesty.

That could get you 10 years in federal prison and $100,000 fine.
It's also defrauding the leasing company, and whoever buys the truck after you turn it in.
What makes that OK?
If you do it, I hope you're caught, sued and jailed.
Either don't do the miles, or PAY UP.

In some states that is illegal !!!!!!!!!!! MAYBE YOU SHOULD CHECK FIRST. THEY HAVE STEEP FINES FOR CHANGING OR TAMPERING WITH THE ODOMETER READING. I don't know which state you are in but here are some other state laws.
