Ok, I am under a tremendous amount of stress right now..more so than I've ever been in my life. Now I am having these spasms in my neck...it almost looks like I have tourette's. Could this maybe be because I am not really doing anything to cope with the stress, and this is my body's response?

Hi Honey,, sounds like it to me !!! I suggest that you soak in a hot tub or a hot shower to loosen up the muscles...

Take a walk when you can, it helps the stress level also...

good luck

Stress if a good cause of spasms in the neck. You need to consider getting a massage or using a muscle relaxer or anti-anxiety med if you have any of those meds to use. If you have some type of a massager this would work well too. Take a hot shower or try a hot wet towel at the site to relieve the spasms.

It is muscle tension. I get it too when I am very stressed out. You should treat yourself to a massage- it is worth every penny. And some places will work on only your upper body for half the cost. You should also take a nice long bubble bath. Look into a cervical pillow as well- they cradle the neck and relieve all the muscle tension. These things have worked for me.

A pinched nerve can cause grievous pain, and plenty of additional stress. I would suggest a trip to a chiropractor for relief.
