Before you ever go for driver license get a Driving handbook and read and understand it , especially know your road signs. You will need to provide your learners permit which will have proof of your age and a photo ID. You will need proof of insurance on vehicle you are taking the test in as well as a copy of the auto's registration. (Make sure the registration is signed by person who's name is on the registration) You must pass the eye exam (either with or without glasses) Good luck!

Do you mean the written test, or the driving test?

The written test is basically a test of traffic rules, who has right of way, and so on. You can study for that by getting your state's "Driver's Handbook" at your local DMV office. Many are available online as well.

As for your driving test, you will need to provide your existing credentials, such as some sort of Federally acceptable photo ID, as well as title and registration, as well as insurance for the car you are taking the test in, and so on. Your DMV would have the details as well.
