Sounds like depression. I think the reason your are trying to find flaws in everyone is because you dont want to have a reason to hang around them during this time in your life because you might have to explain why you are feeling this way. And you know what you dont want to talk about it (face to face) or have to explain it to someone who knows you. You might think that they might not understand or think that you are crazy.

Let me tell you, you are not crazy, a lot of people go through it. Sometimes it is just situational, meaning something happened in your life that made you start feeling this way (ex: death in family, or break up, or maybe just some difficult and frustrating days at work or school). You can try to see if it will pass or if it has been going on for a month or so, you might want to try to talk to a doctor about medicine, or if you dont want to be put on medicine try talking to a therapist.

I do have to say though sometimes it is better to talk to a close friend or relative that will just listen and not speak rather than a shrink. Sometimes you just need to vent, whether you talk out loud to a higher power or a person.

And I say talk out loud, because sometimes when you actually hear yourself saying what is on your mind, you realize what that problem is and acknowledge it. That's when you will be able to start the healing process and work thru what needs to be worked out.

good luck

You need to find somewhere that you are comfortable. Some group somewhere that has something to offer you. Whether it be a book club, a self-esteem type therapy group, a pottery class, or even a cooking class. You need something to stimulate your senses. I understand exactly what you are talking about. I am prone to depression. To get myself out of that funk, I MAKE myself go for a brisk walk. A twenty minute walk at least. Then I do the same for the next couple of days, and I definitely feel better. I do fall into depression though, almost monthly. But I always pick myself up again, and it's never as bad as it was the time before.
Don't underestimate the amount of power you have over yourself. You can do absolutely anything, you don't need drugs.
Good Luck!!

I know exactly how you feel. You are probably depressed and should go see someone about it. Dont feel too down, everyone goes through depression in their life! Things will get better for you, your your own worst judge so it is probably not as bad as you think. You are just at a difficult time and are trying to find yourself and who you are. If you are going to high school go and talk to your counselor and share your feelings or talk to your parents and they will understand. Hope this helps!

If you don't want to talk to your parents or a teacher about what's going on with you, and you don't want to see a counselor or a psychiatrist, then I think you are not ready to get better. Depression is a medical condition, not a personal weakness or flaw that can be fixed. You need medical treatment, and if you don't want to get it, then you will have to continue living the way you are.

I hope that one day soon you will realize that you don't have anything to be embarrassed about, because depression is a very common and very treatable medical condition. No one will think bad about you if you ask for help.

Snowboarder, feeling uncomfortable with going to parents, teachers or therapists is not uncommon. But let me intorduce you to a few facts.
Fact: Major Depression affects about 17% of Americans.
Fact: Dysthemic disorder, a milder form of depression, affects about 8.5 % of Americans.

With this in mind, it really isnt that uncommon to have a diagnosable depressive disorder. I know it is tough, but if you truly want to kick depression, you need help. Depression can really affect your life, and your potential. Please, I beg you, find the courage to ask for help. It will be scary, but soooo worth it.

It does sound very likely you are suffering from 'depression'. Many people have this and it is very treatable if you're willing to seek treatment (which you sound like you are)
Here is a website which has alot of info and ways to deal with it. Talking to someone also will be a great idea...look in your yellow pages or ask your family doctor.
Here's the site, and don't forget you are NOT alone...Good Luck!

Yes, you sound depressed, mainly because it seems to me you don't feel like yourself anymore. You should ask friends and family if they've had any good experiences with certain therapists and start talking to someone. You may need some medication to help you get back on track, or pure therapy may do it. Just get help.

It might actually help you to see a therapist a few times, they can help you get to the bottom of what is going on and how to change it. Seeing the negative in people and putting them down is probably trying to feel better about yourself when your self esteem is really low.

Im wondering what brought this on? Have you gone through a life-style change? Talk to a counselor or church leader or therapist. Force yourself to think that everything is cool (because it really is)

You should talk to a counselor, either school or professional. Or talk to your MD, a teacher. Talk to someone. The good news is that you recognize what is going on and you want help!!! I am so glad you asked, you will also be glad you asked.
