I think a felony requires jail time. That's quite a bit to get caught with. At the age of 17 you can be tried as an adult.

1. What the hell are you doing carrying 2 loaded guns and brass knuckles?

2. Depending on if you are being charged with anything else in conjunction with having those weapons and depending on how tough the judge is will depend on what happens. Some real tough judges like to make examples of people but being that you're only 17, you could end up with probation. I would plead to the court for a reduced sentence.

It would depend on a few things, first and most important is, was there any drugs involved. If there was you are most likely going to do some time. If there were no drugs involved and this was your first time to be in trouble with the law, they plea it down and you might get probation. Also remember this all depends on what the law says where you were arrested. the bottom line is you are in trouble and this will haunt you for the rest of your life.

in some countries, you will be charged with two counts of illegal possession of firearms and illegal possession of a deadly weapon for the knuckles. other crafty law enforcers can actually tie you up with other related crimes happening in the area. be ready when they come back with the ballistic report done on the guns that were confiscated from you.

you will do time in a juvenile institution then transferred to a correctional facility when you reach the age of maturity.

admit it, it is very foolish to carry weapons illegally and without due cause.

Being as you are 17 they may decide to convict you as an adult which would mean a longer jail time. However if they do convict you as a minor it all depends on if you have any previous convictions, if you do you will definitely do some jail time. If none you MAY be let off on probation.

At 17 you are right on the cusp - if you haven't done anything before, you might get off lightly, but if you have a history, I'd expect them to go after you as an adult.

(Back to, what the HECK were you thinking???)

DON'T do anything like this again. Hopefully this will set you straight.

Since you're a minor, you will most likely serve time in a juvenile detention center. My mother is a juvenile detention officer and she sees cases like this all the time. Three counts of carrying a concealed weapon is a pretty serious charge, but because you're a minor you'll most likely receive time in detention.

Good Lord! It seems like you SHOULD be locked up.....

But, I've known "good" kids who have had equal weaponry, and I have been glad when they got off with probation...

Not knowing why you were carrying all of that s___ makes me unable to give you a straight answer, but please, please stop carrying around the means of destruction that you were caught with. (A young man killed himself in my kitchen, with a gun!)

I think they may decide to try you as an adult and send you to prison.
