It depends on the dish. If its a soup, stew,sauce or something liquidy try a raw potato peeled and cut in quarters. It will soak up some liquid but it will take care of Mr. Salty. Other dishes you can add some vinegar & sugar but not too much.

Throw a few pieces of cut-up potatoes in your dish and let it cook for a while . The potatoes will absorb the salt !

It all depends on the dish and how its being prepared. Sometimes a potato works. Or maybe adding milk or cream could help. Maybe make a double batch!

If you taste the pot cooking and see that it's too salty
wash a potato / peel it/ place it in the pot
it will absorb the salt - then take it out before serving your dish

first remember this you can always add it is harder to remove and all depending on the dish you can add water if it is a soup or somthing ,if it is a dish with meat add more meat or more ingredients to it like a stew beef add more veggies and or water to cut down on the salt ~bon apetite~Chef Abbi

If you add sugar, you can sometimes recover the dish so it tastes good.
The reverse works too, if it is too sweet, add salt! ;)
