4. What is exactly is agnostic?

Since I am asking these questions It is only fair that I state my faith and give a slight overview.

I believe in God and Jesus as my Lord. I don't believe in everything that I have learned by listening and experiencing from the Christian Faith. I don't believe in judging other period. I believe to each man his own. I respect that God gave me free will and the right to choose what to believe so I do the same thing for others.

I also believe in a mixture of creationism and evolution. I believe god got the ball started let nature takes it is course. Since he did create the laws of nature. I read the bible but don't follow it verbatim. I love the important things, the lessons it gives u.

I am not really sure of what my faith is exactly but I know what I believe and live that to the best of my ability.

What the first question means why do we judge or condemn people based on their believes, why can't we accept them as merely different. I am not saying I agree with what happen on 911 but I bet if more people were open-minded in all walks of faith we wouldn't have this mess. They say the samething about us that we do about them. Remember all the people Christians tortured because they thought they were witches or because they weren't christian throughout history. The only reason this registers with us is because it happened to us during our lifetime.

There is extremist in all religions that wants to take the lives of people in all other faiths because they believe they are evil because they do not understand the other.

If we all followed the golden rule DO UNTO OTHERS AS U WANT THEM TO DO UNTO U. then maybe we wouldn't have these problems.

i agree with u entirely and if the world was more this way, it wudnt be so corrupt. i believe theres only one heaven and one hell. outcomes of ur acts directs to where u'll end up. my faith is Islam and its very welcoming to newcomers as well as open-minded to those who dont follow the same belief. Islam teaches to spread it and acknowledge the ignorant and whoever may choose to follow, may. and whoever wont, so be it. its not media diplays it...they say that muslims 'force u to join their religion or die'. thats not true whatsoever! theres actually a verse in out quran (our bible) that says 'to u be ur religion, and to me be mine'. pretty much self-explanatory. islam is about self-submission to only one God and ppl think that its a hard way of life to live as but is not at all. its pretty simple, all that it says is to keep distance from things that harm urself such as alchohol, tobacco, etc. and the reason why we dont eat pork is bcuz it is harmful considering that the pig eats annyything in plain sight. ppl shud be more understanding towards islam rather judge wtvr is seen on tv. i have many friends who are not muslims and i have a more closer relationship to them than my muslim friends so just bcuz we dont share the same beliefes shouldnt affect how we communicate or treat eachother.

1. I don't want to condemn people! No; I simply want to warn them. And if I was an unbeliever, I hope that somebody would be the same to me.

2. There is heaven and there is hell. And might I ask what proof you have for the statement "one man heaven's is another man's hell"?

3. God wants us to be loving, but why, after finding the One Truth, why in the world would I want to ever want to deceive myself?

4. Agnostic would be a person who claims that they cannot know God, or even know for sure that there is a God. Or perhaps it might describe someone who is simply unsure. However, they claim that they KNOW that they CANNOT KNOW God. Sort of a dichotomy.

5. I am a Christian. I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord, that He is the only way to Heaven. I believe that He died for my sins and rose on the third day, and then ascended into heaven to be my Advocate with God. I believe that He loves everybody and wants them to receive salvation, and that He has created me for a purpose. I believe in the Bible and that it is the Word of God. And because of that I believe what is in it, for example, Jesus Christ is the only Way to heaven, because He said Himself:

John 14:6 (NIV)
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

He is the only way to heaven, and there is no other. As for the referenced "extremists" in Christianity, they might largely fall into two categories(note: I do not mean this in a judging tone, simply stating some possibilities).

1. People who are trying to use Christian masses to further their personal wants or needs.

2. People who are a good illustration of persons who have turned convictions into doctrine. Not a good thing.

You also mentioned that you believe that God got the ball rolling, but evolution continued the creation process. May I venture to submit to you that this is not so? For example, the Hebrew word used for "day" in, for example, Genesis 1:5, where it mentions the first day, is "yôm". That word means "to be hot", or "the warm hours". In other words, from sunset to sunrise. The "day". It can also mean a certain space of time, but with an associated term that might define it. There is not one that indicates that in that verse. That same "yôm" is used also in the Ten Commandments, namely:

Exodus 20:8 NIV
"Remember the Sabbath day [yôm] by keeping it holy.

Do we think that the Sabbath day was a period of who-knows-how-many-years? No, and apparently the Jews did not take it that way, either. Of course, this view against the seven-day creation is probably influenced by the verse in Psalms:

Psalm 90:4
For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night.

Have not these people considered that the Psalmist is simply trying to express the eternal viewpoint that God holds? That he is only trying to convey the eternality of God Almighty?

I hope that this might help you; God bless!

1. No one has the right to condemn another except the one who paid the price. Christians benefit from the price paid by Jesus. Our job is not to condemn, our job is to share the free gift paid for by Jesus' death on the Cross. If we are truly saved, and truly benefit from our salvation, then we are free to love. If we are still condemning others, then we haven't realized the true price that God paid for our salvation, and we're vain cos we think we earned it.

2. No one wants hell. Hell is the same for everyone.

3. The world is fallen. Man has inherited the earth and he doesn't know what to do with it. Man has trouble with differences and diversity, because he wants to understand, but it is impossible to truly understand and appreciate diversity. God wants us to have the earth. It is not God's fault that we fall and screw it all up.

4. Agnostic is someone who isn't convinced that there is such a thing as God. He is also not convinced that God doesn't exist. He believes that there is no way for anyone to prove either that God exists, or that God doesn't exist.

5. A Christian who seeks the heart of God in the bible.

1. True love is "saving...and pull[ing] others out of the fire" - Jude 23. True love is having the guts to inform someone of the terrible news that they've broken God's law and need forgiveness.

2. Well, an eternity of serving and praising their Creator might seem like a hell to some people, but hell is a lot worse than that for even them.

3. Because other beliefs are not the truth. Other beliefs will not give you forgiveness for your sins, which you need to gain everlasting life. God does want us all to get along (in fact, His original creation was a perfect world where everyone DID get along--until it was corrupted with sin), but not at the expense of the salvation of others.

4. Some agnostics will define it as "I don't know if there's a God"; others will define it as "no one can know if there's a God." Both are equal cop-outs to avoid taking the issue seriously.

5. My name is Clay; I am a Christian. Basically, the Lord of the universe created a world without sin, but Adam and Eve disobeyed God and brought sin into the world, and everyone has sinned and broken God's holy and just law. There is nothing we can do to save ourselves, because we've broken God's law and there is nothing we can do to change that. So God, because He loved the world so much, sent His only Son to die for the sins of the world so that we might be forgiven if we only turn away from sin, turn to God, and trust in His sacrifice to save us.

I would like to say that I believe thought provoking answers scare some people. However, I've gotten thumbs down on some of the most inane answers to silly questions. Really non-offensive stuff. I think people just like to give the old thumbs down.

1.) You see, I love my mother, my father, and my whole family, though we have many differences. My neighbours have the right to believe what they want. iannot stop them.

2.) Heaven is a place where ALL people are happy(utopia). I I don't think you know what utopia is. Utopia is where all people are happy helping others, being friends, not having any enmity. That is heaven, and it is only one place, just as there is only one God.

3.)That is what the problem is nowadays, and that is true, and I support your question whole-heartedly. You are true in that sense, and I have similar questions too.

4.)An agnostic person, in simple words is an atheist.

5.)I am a Hindu. I am also a Christian, a Muslim, a Jew, a Sikh. I believe in all religions, and that is my religion. I don't have any qualms about any other religion, and I pray that nobody should have them(qualms).

1. We are incapable to love anyone, let alone our neighbors without Christ living within us. It is actually Christ loving that person through us.
2. That sounds more like someones walk through live rather than the noun form of heaven and hell . I'm not sure

1. You've condemned an entire group of people with your stereotypes. It's like saying all black people listen to rap music and sell drugs.

2. That's a cliche referring to temporal matters and not the matters of God.

3. It has nothing to with accepting them as different. That's sort of an oxymoron. If I have a coat I like to wear and one I don't, I have accepted them both for what they are already: different. God wants us to get along, yes. But no in falsehood. God wants us first to obey him. All of the laws in the OT Bible are given to show man's sinful nature and that he is a fallen creature in need of God's salvation, provided by the one who never broke any of his laws. The laws deal with man's love for his fellow man as well as love for God.

4. Thinking it's not possible to know if God exists or has dealings with man if he does.

5. I am sinner in need of salvation. Sin is what keeps man from his creator. Jesus brings us back into right relation with God because we forsake evil and trust in the crucifiion of Jesus.

What is exactly is agnostic? Will say he beleives in a god but does not know who he is and is not personal with him.
I am a Born again Christian. Here is what you are looking for. This is it straight, check out what I say and see for your self! First when seeking a religion , its not a religion you need its a relation ship with the God himself, The creator of everything. Now every religion will give you a bunch of rules and regulations to live by to get to heaven, but the Bible says these make the Word of God void, because its not how good can I be to get to heaven and how religous I am, the Bible says all our rightous acts are as filthy rags compared to a HOLY GOD! So we find out, and this IS THE SECRET OF THE UNIVERSE, Jesus is God manifested as a man to take the sins of the world even you and me away and give us life, LIFE how you ask? He sends HIS LIVING SPIRIT INTO YOU AND LIVES WITH YOU and blesses your life and answers your prayers, you just need to know how to access this spirit! He tricked the evil doeres and this spirit is Gained "IN THE NAME OF JESUS!" That is the beginning of knowledge. now go read your bible and star in John and see what God did in Jesus, Its a secret message of the kingdom of heavens secret power of Gods Holy spirit and how to obtain it, and as you read your bible you will see that Gods will for your life is to know his son and what he did for you and by bekieving what he said he will send his SPIRIT TO BLESS YOUR LIFE AND LIVE IN YOU! You are the temple of the living God!
The second part about why all the hate is because there is a Devil loose , a wicked spirit that hates God and his children, any body that has this HOLY SPIRIT I was talking about. It is an invisable Holy war with Gods angels and satans demons battleing for our souls. He wants to keep you from knowing who Jesus is because once you recieve his HOLY SPIRIT YOU CAN NOT BE DECIEVED BY THE DEVIL ANY MORE, and better is that find that in THE NAME OF JESUS THE demons and all the curses flee from you. God gave you his name as a weapon of protction against the evil one. I know at this stage that a little deep, but go read John to the end of the book and read acts2 about htis HOLY SPIRIT. all those with the spirit are called born again, because the new spirit you are Born from above, God wants you to have his spirit right now,ask him!in Jesus name.
if you start using this name you will see turmoil as the demons all around you dont want you know the POWER OF THE NAME!

1. you arn't supposed to be condemning your neighbor. its kind of like the old saying "friends don't let friends kill themself."

2. there is one heaven and one hell. heaven is being in the presence of god, whereas hell is the antithesis.

3. god simply wants us to believe the truth. i don't think that is too much to ask, but humanity simply has to have that variety to spice their life.

4. the unsurity of god. the safe-place. the luke warm. the "you can't make any assumptions about me because i'm not sure myself." bad place to be in, that unsurity.

5. i believe there is one truth. no one follows that truth perfectly because humanity is sinful. i believe that god created matter, life, and purpose because saying it came from anything else seems a little naive. i believe a savior was required to save us from ourselves because we are so screwed up. i have yet to find any proof against the authenticity of the bible, and if you know of anything really wrong with the bible, please e-mail me about it immediately because i so hate to believe in lies.
