casual dating?

a girl and i might like each other and want to get to know each other better. she says she is not sure if she has feelings for me but that she might when she gets to know me better. i think this is what casual dating for is, right? but she says as friends. so my question is what is casual dating for if not for people with potential feelings for each other getting to figure out if there are feelings there or not?

Either it is a date or it is not. If you go with a bunch of friends then it is just hanging out. If it is just you and her, then it is a date. But that is just what dates are for, is getting to know each other better. Just because you go on a date does not mean that you are an item and exclusive. That will come when you BOTH think that you are ready.

If you spend money on her she is only after your loot. So if she really thinks that some feelings may develop between the two of you try to see if they'll develop without you spending cash on her ....go dutch. Your just friends anyway right? Keep your options open though cause there is a big pond out there with plenty of fish in it ....just get the right bait.

It should be but if she says only as friends then it isn't dating. Both parties need to consider it a romantic arrangement, even if a very limited one.

yes you're right she probably wanted to make sure you knew that you are not a couple in case she finds someone else
