When you start Taking contraceptive pills when do they start working?

I have been using contraceptive pills for a couple years now but i stoped them for 2 months. I did not started on a Sunday or the first 24 hours of the period. I started another day.

they pretty much start working straight away but best to use another form of protection for the first 2 weeks of starting. depending on when u started (if u started in the middile of a cycle) you may experience a lighter or heavier period because when u have ur period u should be up to the sugar tablets on your packet and if u are not up to them yet it may cause some delays for your body to adjust.
