studies in science and mathematics are far more important in society than history and language arts.
science and mathematics are what makes this world so advanced and technologized. sure history is important, but as the saying goes, history repeats itself over and over again. there will be wars of religion, power, and freedom. its nice to know your roots and culture, but science and mathematics can provide the greatest resolutions to human strife. it can bring cures, vaccines, rockets and nuclear weapons ; )
Langugage is just annoying. i hate grammar, especially english grammar. its retarded, but thats just me.
take care.

Well, language arts would be a necessary first course for any of the rest of them, since the others couldn't be effectively taught or their concepts compiled without it. I cannot see, however, in the overall scheme of things, that the sciences are more important than humanities or vice versa. They are all tools for understanding the world around us and our fellow man.

I think science and mathematics.
If this is about what kind of degree is better, yes, I would say that.
There are many more job opportunities with science and mathematics.
With history and language arts, all there really is is perhaps being a teacher or a translator......
