This is an inductor used to add impedence to a circuit where you want to attenuate high frequency AC signals, such as radio signals.
If an audio amplifier is in proximity to a radio transmitter (or any other HF electromagnetic source, eg. computer monitors) the choke will attenuate the signal in the conductor or circuit board lead.

An RF choke is a coil designed to provide high impedance at radio frequencies.Sometimes the definition of choke is extended to an L-filter or PI filter (a coil connected to neutral by one or two capacitors at the ends)

There weren't too many sites with "rf choke circuits" so I searched "choke circuits" Have fun!

it is an coil ( inductor ) used to choke (block) radio frequency from entering the ckt which is used for generation of AF signals
