It sounds like your hair is especially porous, which means it is absorbing more of the dye than most hair shafts do. It sounds like your hair has taken a beating already, and if you do more to it, you might cause it to break off unevenly from all the chemical processing.

If you absolutely cannot stand the black, the safest thing to do is go to a salon and have it fixed by a professional. It won't be cheap, but it will save your hair and give you a color you can live with.

First don't keep dying your hair....your just going to trash it. What more than likely happened is that your hairs cuticle was wide open from so many chemicals that the color absorbed darker than it actually said it was. Try a clarifying shampoo for a few days to try to remove some of the color and see if it get lighter. Hair color usually fades after a few days. If not this time I would leave it to a professional.

To avoid this problem, you need to leave the dye in for a shorter amount of time; the longer they dye is left in the hair, the darker it will turn out. Also don't forget that the first couple days after your hair dye your hair will be dark, after a week or so of washing and what not, the dye will wash out a little bit and lighten up greatly. If the problem still persists after my advice, then maybe you should try a lighter hair dye.

YOU ARE OVER PROCESSING!!! get hair in good condition before coloring again. Over processed hair absorbs all color hence the black hair.
