We haven't had sex because we respect each other and we have a lot in common. Being with him makes me to appreciate life more. Many people critically talk about us...can't really do anything bout it, unless ignore it. But I'm afraid i'm not good enough for him because i'm still young and haven't really experience how the world works. He has a commitment, mature, responsible, humorous, caring, adventurous...what more can i say...he's my perfect dream guy. First time we met, i hardly had any feelings for him, but as we met more often, i get to know him more and suddenly we got this strong feeling to be with each other. One thing i like bout him is that he respects people and himself. He once told me that it's better if we stop seeing each other, coz he thinks he's too old for me, but his statement makes me feel hell. He's a really caring person The only concern for me is the age difference and age of consent. I feel depressed...

No matter how mature you are, there is no good reason on God's green earth why a 30 year old man should be interested in you. It isn't the age difference as much as how old you are. The only reason anyone over 19 would be interested in you is because no one their own age would be bothered with them.

Think about it. At sixteen you can't go out, you can't have a drink at a restaurant or bar, you can't be seen with him in public (you are still a minor). That means the only place you can see him is at his house or in a car, right? Well after a few dates at his house or in a car, the only place your relationship can go is to sex. That is not cool, trust me. He may look appealing to you, but would you date a 1 year old?
