U.S.A VS. People's Republic of China?

Question

just being curious who would win in a war between the two country, without allies and/or the U.N. or NATO just the two country by themselfs & no civlians involed just two armed forces by themselfs, mono e mono who would win?

Well that depends on two scenarios.

First is no invasion of either countries mainland. In that case, America would absolutely win due to the fact that they have more nuclear and ICBM missiles and they are technologically superior. America would suffer a lot of damage but then again, China would probably be destroyed.

The second scenario is an invasion of one mainland. then you have to look at the fact that the Chinese do have the largest army in the world though not as superior as the US Army. The US navy and Air Force would definitely triumph over any the Chinese could throw at them ( I mean the USA does have 10-12 Aircraft carriers). The Army and Marines are a different question as it would be a contest of quality vs. quantity.

In both scenarios, I believe that the USA would win though with extrememly heavy casualties. It has the foremost economy of the world and the most technologically advanced, a very skilled workforce, good communication networks and freedom of information.

It does depend largely on who declares war first because if the USA did, then no one American or anyone else would support it except Japan but if China declared war, then that would just motivate the Americans even more.

Without the use of Nuclear weapons China would probably win in mainly infantry based war. It all depends where the war is fought,but Americas Navy and Airforce are superior to China's,thing is.China has over 1.8 million ground troops alone,with a total of around 2.5 million in their entire military. Americas combined personel is only 1.1 million or so troops,so they would be seriously outnumbered,it could go either way,strategy would be a big factor. I mean China may have ancient technology,but those designs were good at killing then and they kill just as good now >.<

im sorry to say this to my fellow americans... but we would be f*cked.... china has the biggest military in the world. and im not sure about this but i think they have nukes too or the they the capability of making them. im not 100% on that. but if its just the soldiers fighting we would b wiped out. the chinese would just keep coming and coming and coming until our military is gone.... we may have the weapons but i would rather have the soldiers instead of the advanced weapons. 10 chinese soldiers vs. 1 american with an advanced weapon.... 3 of the chinese might die but the american would be killed... and if u think thats not fair think of it this way.... the chinese have more then 20 soldiers for every soldier we have

and u also got to remember the fact that america will not use nuclear weapons in any war right now.

The answer is China for sure.because in the Korea War,American army have surrendered to China's military.that is a good example.

china with out a doubt.... not only do they have the technology but they out number americans.
they are the worlds super power now, just no one has admitted it yet.
i'd just like to add... that any country with it's own space program that has sent a man to space on their own technology definately with out any doubt has nuclear weapons. china sent a man to space last year successfully.
no country spends money on a space program before they have spent it on a nuclear program.
