Dont you agree with the way people on here that used ta be Christian, but are now agnostic, atheist, muslim, buddist etc, are jus proving the apostasy/the falling away mentioned in Timothy. Thus proving more more Christianitys truth that THEY turned from?

If I may, there is a verse in the bible that reads: "if they say they were one of us, but go out from amongst us....they were never one of us". From that verse, I infer that it is impossible for a person who is born again to be "not" born again. If they reject Jesus Christ, they never were "born again" in the first place.

It's not the same people. This is a "Religion and Spirituality" section, not a "Christianity" section. More people are finding this area, and they are agnostic, atheist, Muslim, Buddhist, etc. They were these religions to begin with, odds are, not people who were Christian and converted. Even if they were, it would not prove Christianity is the right religion anyway.
I quit Christianity years ago and became a Deist (long before I even had a computer, let alone got on Yahoo answers). Why? It made more sense. I studied religion in college for years and found too many problems with Christianity; it had nothing to do with what I found here.

As a person who believes in Jesus and God, but doesn't follow the Christian faith to a tee because of things that I don't agree with. Because they don't believe in what or the way u do doesn't mean they have fell away that have found something that makes sense to them. Who are we to judge what is right and not right without truly knowing. The only way we will truly know is to meet God face to face and ask. Just imagine if u spent all ur time condemning one religion on earth to find out u were wrong and theirs was right, or they all were right in one way or another but still miss the mark.

Don't agree.

people are always trying to give reasons to believe the end is near. whatever. It will happen when God wants it to happen. Period.

people have been falling away from god for thousands of years. And people have been converting to Christianity for thousands of years. the more things change the more they stay the same.

and my question is this:
what made them fall away?
where was the church/body of Christ when the temptation was forthcoming?
I have seen too many who left because some Christians are proud and don't leave the clique they are in.
Humility is wasted when we refuse or look to help those in the church to stay the path.
when the church fully seeks God and shows the value and merit of following Christ, then the effectiveness can witness outside the church as well.

I would agree to a certain extent, though I would also have to question the validity and sincerity of their conversion in the first place. As Christians we all know what's coming and we should be able to read the signs of the end of the age. This is definitely one of them

Hi
A person can infact reject the living savior.
To say that...... once saved always saved is true and that a person claiming to be saved but walks away never was really saved to begin with.... be honest.
YES- IT IS SELF EVIDENT THAT THEY HAVE **FREEWILL AND ARE CHOOSING(HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF) WALKING AWAY FROM JESUS. (WHICH MEANS THEY KNOW HE IS GOD).
**THE BIBLE DECLARES THAT IT IS BETTER FOR A PERSON TO NOT KNOW THE WAY OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, THAN TO TURN FROM(first in it--anotherwords....you canNOT turn FROM something UNLESS you are FIRST IN IT.)
** BOTTOM LINE...
ESTHER....I LOVE YOUR POSTS...HOWEVER ETERNAL SECURITY IS FALSE.
THE LAST VERSES IN REVELATION DECLARE THAT IF ANYONE!! ADD/TAKE AWAY from the bible that they would be BLOTTED OUT<<< of the lambs book of life. (heaven).

A lot of people have turned from Atheism too, does that mean that atheism is true?

Does it mean anything is true because just some people believe it is?
