Jenny is absolutely right. There is nothing glamerous about becoming anorexic. It is the worst possible thing to do to lose weight. It will over come you and food and losing more weight will be the only thoughts that dominate your mind. You start off to 'just lose five pounds' but I can tell you from personal experience that there is no magic number. You just keep thinking alright I reached 120, now to 115, then 110....and so forth. Anorexia can kill you and it's not easy finding a therapist that knows enough about it to help you. I know from personal experience I live in a town that has over 50,000 people and only two therapist will touch the eating disorders at all and only one of them if specialized in the field. Luckily I am one of her patients. Eating disorders has one of the highest death rates among mental disorders. 50% I believe. Do you really want to take that chance? 50% is a F in school.

Your metabolism will go way down, you will exercise like a mad woman but you won't have any muscle to show for it. I exercised for three hours a day and before I got help I almost passed out going up a flight of stairs. My heart stopped at work. That was my wake-up call. You really don't want to get to that place do you? Sitting typing at your desk and your heart is pounding like crazy then all of a sudden..........nothing...... it is the scariest thing in the world to experience realizing you might die this very moment.

Your internal organs will start to deteriorate. Once your body has eaten all the fat off your body it starts to go after muscle and the heart is one of the first things it starts to attack because it's such a large muscle.

Nothings fun anymore, you think you could be exercising or not eating while you're out with your friends. You have panic attacks when you're thrown into a social function that circles around food because nobody can know your dirty little secret. Your clothes don't fit right....nothing fit rights. Forget about breasts your body will eat them first. You'll look like a little child with the face of a famine victim.

Those are just a few things in the 'glamerous' life of anorexia. It will control you and you will have to fight like a demon to get your life back.

Please talk to somebody about your thoughts and plans. If you don't want to talk to a professional talk to somebody you care about and cares about you. If you need a buddy contact me! I'm more than willing to discuss it!

Hope this helps!

I was anorexic for a bit... well, not really, because after 6 months I realized that I was eating just as much as I normally ate in order to "keep my metabolism up"... so yeah, I just liked going on proanorexia sites. They hate it when people say "I'm thinking of becoming anorexic", it's like saying "I'm thinking of becoming gay". They view it as more of a lifestyle than a disease. But the main outcomes? Death is possible of course; but telling a person that something will kill them isn't very convincing, problems with organs, missed periods, and you may lose the ability to have children. It's slighty more healthy than bulimia, which causes those things along with tooth problems and stomach problems and so on. Anyways, it makes you faint more often and feel a bit weaker and your hair will get brittle, your skin will bruise more easily, it may get dry and your nails may be brittle, and also there's this fine hair that your body will grow all over in order to make up for the lost fat and insulate yourself. Anyways, in some ways it seems like a pretty disease, but it is a MENTAL ILLNESS... I'm going to go think about becoming schizophrenic.

outcomes are only bad, nothing is good about it, first is that no clothes suits you, guys don't like all bone girls, why do you think bog boobs girl are more attractive? your body will not thank you, your organs won't function well, undernourished skin looks bad, no glow on face, your hair will become brittle and fall.. the list is endless, but there is healthy way to become slimmer.

First of all being 126 and 5'3 is a perfectly noraml wieght, so you're probably already experiencing mild aneroxia if you think you're fat. Secondly women are SUPPOSED to be curvy. Males are attracted to curves, so why lose them. Thirdly, people who are anoxeric either A) overcome the disease which it is a DIEASE or B) DIE from it however many die if untreated

In all honesty you get wieght gain. If the body doesn't get enough calories or nutrients the body goes into stravation mode, so everything you eat puts weight on your body. Anorexia also can also lead to serveral digestion problems, constipation, migranes. And even death if long enough.

Anorexia? DEATH.

You don't sound skinny, but you definitely do not sound overweight to me either. If you are seriously considering this, I would talk to someone about it. A better option would be to talk to your doctor about your weight and get ideas on IF you could lose a few and what would be a SAFE method. Not eating will kill you.

Don't be silly girl. You obviously have a distorted image of your body because 126lb is fine.

If you are 'thinking of becoming anorexic', it's because you are prone to obsessive sorts of behaviour, especially about your body. You need to speak to someone about your issues, before they start to get out of hand.

HTH : )

There are only 2 outcomes if you decide to become anorectic (note spelling). You'll either seek treatment and get better or you'll die most likely from heart failure.
