The Ukrainian people above many others know the meaning of the word sovereignty. Given this, I have a better feeling about the likelihood that these people would respect other nations laws and borders. When it comes right down to it, i couldn't care less where a person came from so long as they arrived in America legally and showed my country the respect that I would show if I immigrated to their country.

I think everyone should own one... Just kidding! Actually Americas strength is its immigrants. Our diversity has always been a source of great pride and no amount of jingoistic "We and Them" is truly relevant. There have been so many attempts to stem the flow of immigrants to this country over our 200+ years of history. The Know-Nothing Party of the 1830's accused the Irish of being sub-human. Then the Irish of fifty years later hated the Italians. This is human nature to fear the new and the unknown. The Cubans who came to Miami in the early 60's breathed new life into a city that was dying of boredom. Miami is the mecca it is now because of them. But the fear when the Haitians came was never brought to fruition. Life is always full of fear and anger against change, and this powers much of the conservative movements in our country today, but eventually change is inevitable and happens anyway or we would be Roman Citizens today. It is the story of the dinosaurs, Adapt or Die. This country runs on innovation, and all these people bring new life and new thoughts into our eclectic mix. The future will always be better because we have allowed these people to become one of us. Who among us can truly claim our roots were not transplanted from a foreign soil? So few!

They are welcome if they come legally, and learn the language and assimilate to our ways and don't turn out like the Mexicans and expect everything to change for them. We have no problem with legal immigrants because they take the time to become Americans the Mexicans don't, they hate this country they only want the jobs and the money. This country feed them and their families and give them health care and homes and then they turn around and fly the Mexican flag, they don't deserve to be here. They are back stabbers.

If they got here legally, then I think it's fine. If they are illegal immigrants, then they should leave just like the "ILLEGAL" immigrants from Mexico. Pro-Americans are not just picking on illegal immigrants from Mexico. They are targeted, because they are the overwhelming majority, due to Mexico's being so close to North American soil. I think all Pro-Americans will agree when I say that no matter where you come from, you are welcome here as long as you come "LEGALLY"!!!~

I'm friends with several and they are good people, hard - working, all the ones I have met have been extremely good looking. One of my guy friends is Urkanian and he is better looking than most girls ! A couple of the women have a bit of the gold-digger in them though.

They fit right in.

I know tons of ukrainians, and they have made good lives for themselves.

Hard workers, and respectable people.

Oh, and yes they can cook.
