what should i do about this guy i'm in love with who says he feels the same way but wasn't ready until jail

we met 2yrs ago and have been in each others life since he just said he wanted to get his life together before we became a couple but something happened and he is in jail for 8mths and we want to be together but what if when he gets out he changes his mind. we have a crazy kinda love but he won't tell me he loves me he writes it in the letter love ya. What should i do i am so hooked on this guy that i am afraid i might miss something good for me. I have felt since we met that he was going to be my husband should i wait or move on or what.

Be careful, he is in jail for a reason and it’s not because he was a good boy. He can’t said that he loves you on the phone or on visits but only in letters and that leads me to believe that he wants contact with the outside world and is using the phrase in a platonic way. You can’t see his eyes or facial expressions when he writes love ya in a letter go visit him on visiting day and ask him point blank if he loves you. Look to see if he looks you in the eye when he says it or do his eyes dart to the side or does he look down. To the side or down indicates dishonesty. Does he hesitate or say mmm or ah before answering, another indication of dishonesty. Move on and date other guys while he is in jail and see if you can find a nice guy who treats you right and is an upstanding citizen. If you don’t find someone you are happy with you can always go back to the one in jail. █

People in jail like to say things to keep connections and relationships alive while they are locked away. Wait it out - wait it out even after he gets out.... see if you both love eachother long after his time has been completed. Sorry to say but the fact that he doesnt say that he loves you or is in love with you should be a total red flag!! While he is away, try to date other people so that if it doesnt work out, you wouldnt have just wasted all that time for nothing.
