There are products and serums that you can buy that you put on while your hair is wet and then "straighten" your hair with your hands, but I never had any luck with them. My hair is pretty thick and wavy though, so if yours is mostly straight it might work for you.

More than likely your not going to get the results you want without using an iron or large barrel curling iron. Your best bet is to pick up a bottle of protectant from your local salon. Kenra has a good thermal protectant, a well as Redken. It protects your hair from extereme heat damage. Please remember that it won't protect 100%, but it does work wonders. You'll also want a silkening product. Kenra silkening mist, or Bed Head Headrush are awesome, they add shine, resist humidity, and smooth frizzies. It will help you to keep your style longer.
If your looking for more of a long term option, go to your stylist and request either a relaxer or a straightener. And yes, there is a difference. A relaxer, obivously relaxes curl and waves, but doesn't remove it completely. A straightener, straightens, completely. Removes all curl and wave from the hair.
I hope this helps. Good Luck!!!!

One thing I do after a shower is pull my hair into tight, high poneytail, twist, and clip(use one of those big claw clips). Leave in for a few hrs. and let your hair down, Do the same thing again, but lower the ponytail(don't use a ponytail holder, it'll' only make a huge bump in your hair). Do this until mostly dry, your hair will be straight from the roots down, but the mid-section to the ends will still be slightly curly/wavy...but it looks pretty. It takes a while but, it is soooo much healthier than all the hot irons on your hair. I hope this helps.

I hate to tell you, but I don't think you *can* straighten your hair without heat! There is a tiny, tiny chance you can use one of the old hippie methods - back in the day, girls used soda cans (empty, of course!) with the tops and bottoms cut off as rollers. You could try this with small sections of wet hair (roll them under, not over). They also used beer as a setting lotion, but I don't suggest this if you a) don't want to smell like a brewery and b) don't want to get sent home for smelling like that! You'll have to keep your hair rolled up all night, and wrap it with a soft cloth, like chiffon. Oh, and you'll need those flat hair clips to keep the cans in place, too!

Use a perm in the reverse, no setting it in rollers, just keep combing it straight thru the hair, be carefull not to scratch your face with the comb as the solution will burn your skin if it is scratched, its messy but it works. There may be a hair-straigtening perm on the market available. There are hair products on the market that will work just as well, like shampoo for straightening hair, just look in the hair dept. for products that with give you the look you going after.

I am constantly trying to straighten my hair. I've tried the shampoos and serums and found that they were expensive and not successful. Sad to say that in my experience a flat iron is the only way to go!

Go to a hairdresser and get a 'straight' perm.
They brush your hair extremely straight and use the same chemicals as when giving a perm.
I've gotten them before, and have had much success (but then, I used to have a GREAT hairdresser, too ;)
Great luck with your hair, if it works out like mine, you'll fall in love with your hair..

You could try buying a straightening gel putting it through your hair. It depends how curly your hair is. You could also get it chemically straightned at a hairdressers but it could damage your hair in the long term.

It depends on your hair, but i've heard that if you put straightening product in your hair while it's wet, then blow dry it straight with a diffuser, it should straighten it, but it doesnt work with my hair type, so i dont know how it would work for you or if it really does.
sorry.
