It's like they think that there's "me" and there's "God" and even if they read in the Bible that God or Jesus lives in them, they still see God/Jesus as something apart from their own selves.

Okay I actually went over this in Philosophy of Religion class.

There are three ways to view god.

One is god is outside (not apart of) the universe we live in. The other is that god is apart of the universe but not apart of us. We might be god's creation, but god exists in our universe and not some outside realm. The last is called pantheism, which basically means god is apart of everything and everything is apart of god.

The ideas are mutually exclusive, so one has to be right, and the other two wrong. As to what the answer is, that depends on your religion, and sometimes how you yourself interpret your own religion.

You and I are creations of God, There's a difference between the Creator and His creation.
When we are saved, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within us, but we humans are not "little gods."

he is so holy and we are all sinners should we actually use the term "the creator" or would it be appropriate to say "we" when we sin? thats not being holy. he can still live within us by using the term "the creator" when we discuss him
