I have a poster that is long and thin (think) widescreen) of my favorite place in the universe. what's the best way to hang it without using a frame?

I would talk to a custom framer--
there is a type of clip that can be used to hold the poster to a sheet of glass-- and they have no glare glass, too. Maybe that would suit. There is no protection on the back of the poster tho.
Otherwise, I'd get a real narrow frame in silver or gold or whatever fades away on the wall paint-- and go with that-- they have pieces that you buy by the inch or foot-- then you can no glare glass cover it. This isn't the first time for most of the framers-- here in Oklahoma, Hobby Lobby does a great job and cheaper than Michaels-- plus there are small shops around.

good luck--
