Honestly do people really think that evolution happens in some sort of pokémon style and that one species of animal just suddenly evolves into a bigger, stronger species during it's life?

I keep hearing the argument "I've never looked outside and seen a dog evolving into a cat." so I'm guessing that some people really do think that the theory of evolution is this kind of thing.

Note: a capabara is a large rodent that looks like a giant guinea pig.

And yes, I did just post this in the wrong category a moment ago.

I've never heard that argument before, butt does amuse me.
Why can't we believe in God AND evolution? Why can't we believe that that was the idea all along?
Microevolution in baby steps. People can't see that a hundred years ago we were a lot smaller. It's because of our food being fortified with vitamins and nutrients and such.
I've never run across anyone who thought dogs evolve into cats though. Those people are blatant fools.
