I just saw a question which was asking everyone if they are happy in life. I answered that I really am not, but when I saw some other answers, I really felt that I am much better off, And actually I felt that in this channel, if instead of arguing too much and expressing hate, if we just took some time and expressed our troubles and joys maybe we could be spending time here more wisely? If not here then maybe with someone in real? I am a christian, but I feel that more than arguing about whats right and whats wrong, its better if we really started helping people around us who are sad and maybe even a small talk with them would help them and us. Everyone os us has our troubles, why can't we take some time and listen to other's troubles as well? wouldn't it lessen our burdens as well as theirs? And isn't that how we show that we care for others as well? Sometimes I come online to express my feelings when no one understands? What do you think about this and why are you here?

we also have our sadness, only difference is that the trials bring us faith and we always have hope in God that no matter how worse things are it will be fine later.

I think you have the right idea. After all, isn't that what Jesus did. I think we all sometimes take offense to some of the questions on here, and maybe respond negatively, and there will always be some on here who are just trying to get folks roused up.
I appreciate you comment, and your boldness. I hope you have a good evening.

Your idea is really nice to share with others who are feeling down.
I am here because I know some of the people who read answer and ask questions directed at Christian's are searching or wanting further information on something that they don't understand fully or have misinformation on here.
I have a great relationship with God and I find this a great place to have a say about stuff that people wonder about in a Godly way. It is awesome, how God directs some of my answers.
I am in the flesh somebody who has a teaching position, and here is just a broader base.
I don't injure people with nasty words or put downs so I believe that I am answering there questions and showing another dimension.

Well, I started using answers when I just needed to know the name of a song, but it's actually turned into a kind of therapy for me. I really enjoy knowing I'm helping people. Some people here seem to be at the end of their rope, and are crying out for someone to listen or help with a problem. If I can help, even a little, it makes me feel good, even a little better about myself. I try hard to understand what people are going through and what they are feeling. So, that's why I'm here.

I have never really been exposed to any other religions other than christianity because i go to a christian high school and have grown up in a christian home so it's really pretty eye opening to realize how many people actually do believe in muhammad or in buddah or in nobody at all. When i try to answer the questions, a lot of times i just don't have an answer so it makes me have to go dig in my Bible which is something i don't remotely do enough of. So that is why i am here.

i have had many issues arise in my life in the past couple of months; things that the people that know me the best couldn't help with, so i don't think anyone here could have given me any insight.
with that said, i learned 2 things about myself
1) that I'm willing to put up with a lot more crap from people that i care about than i ever thought i would.
2) that no matter how much anyone tries to help, no matter what they say to someone that's in their darkest times, that someone has to be able to depend on themselves above everything else. sometime there is nothing anyone can say to make you feel OK, you have to rely on yourself in those situations.
on that same token, there are 2 reasons i like to come here. when I'm not having life happen to me, & i'm just having some theological contemplation, i have no problem getting as much advice from people here, for better or worse. also lately i'm loving the whole republican humiliation thing & like seeing all of the idiocy going on in the political section.

I think you have a great idea. I came on this board in response to a question that made CNN. I find myself hanging around this board because there is such a contradiction in questions and answers. Sometimes I just like to set the record straight on misinformation people have learned, continue to believe and in turn perpetuate the cycle of misinformation. After all if a friend of a friend teaches you their opinion, its right--eh?
Although, I do have one controversial question I will eventually ask . . . just so I can learn what others understand about a widely accepted belief. Religion can be such a delicate area when you ask people to think both with their heads and their hearts. People also can misread thoughts, feelings and emotions in a post as well. I just don't like the idea of contributing to the argumentative nature of the board.
I have started keeping a private journal again since I like to blog my thoughts--at least I understand what I meant. LOL!

I don't know exactly why I am here. I came on first because I was looking for a recipe for yrs and someone told me about Answers. I had the answer in under a minute. I thought that was so cool so I have been on since.I enjoy talking about GOD. I can't stand some of the vulgar questions about GOD. I like what you said though. The world would be a whole lot better if more peoople thought like that. GOD bless

I think its difficult to have real conversations through Y/A because you can't easily have back and forth dialogue with people. This is a good place to do polls and get general answers, but not really to be "heard", ya know? I think that's why it's important to find a community of people to sharpen you spiritually and intellectually, and I hope you can find a ministry (church, college group, bible study) to do that.
I've been really blessed the past few years with a great community of believers where I can be heard and answer other people's questions as best I know how. I have recently been blessed by a few believers who are willing to just listen with my present struggles (I finished my last chemotherapy for Lymphoma, today). I hope you get your questions answered and and blessed with a group of believers who and build into you spiritually. Blessings

FIRST, HALLELUJAH TO THE LAMB OF GOD. YOUR COMPASSION SPEAKS VOLUMNS. AS A CHRISTIAN I NEVER CONSIDERED THIS A VIABLE OPTION. BUT LIKE THE WOMAN THAT ANSWERED I WAS IN A BIND, WITH A COMPUTOR PROBLEM AND MY QUESTIN WAS ANSWERED ALMOST IMMEDIATELY. DURING THE FEW MINUTES I WAITED FOR MY ANSWER I TOOK A SERIOUS LOOK AT THIS SITE AND REALIZED WHAT A GREAT OPPORTUNITY THIS WOULD BE TO WITNESS. IM PREACHER AND I PREACH AND WITNESS EVERY DAY, EVERYWHERE. WHY NOT HERE? WE STILL ON THE SAME PAGE? ONE OF THE HARDEST LESSONS I'VE HAD TO LEARN IS THAT NOT ALL SOULS WILL SEE HEAVEN. NOT MY FIRST CHOICE, BUT I DON'T MAKE THE RULES NOR AM I QUALIFIED. AM I OFFENDED WHEN MY ANSWER IS CONSIDERED A VIOLATION? SURE, I'M JUST BEING HONEST, BUT THERE ARE THOSE THAT ARE BORN BOUND FOR HELL JUST AS THERE ARE THOSE BORN BOUND FOR HEAVEN. AS DIFFICULT AS THAT IS , ITS THE TRUTH. YOU CANT TAKE THESE FALLEN. SINNERS, UNGODLY ETC, ETC TO HEART. IF YOU ALLOW THEM TO HURT YOU AND YOR FEELINGS, THEY'VE WON. THAT'S ALL THEY'RE TRYING TO DO. NOW... LISTEN CAREFULLY.... FORGIVE THEM FATHER THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO. ISNT THAT WHAT JESUS SAID ON THE CROSS? CHEER UP BUDDY YOUR NAME IS ON THE TREE OF LIFE, WHAT MORE CAN WE ASK FOR? GOD BLESS YOU, STAY IN TOUCH

You express your thoughts and feelings very well. You seem like you are a very good person, someone people would be honored to know. I think that if you expand your thoughts and feelings into a lifestyle you will be one who makes a difference in this world. I am here because if I can offer my thoughts to others and help just a little bit then I am happy to do that.
