After a couple of weeks of smiling at this guy and just saying hi, i introduced myself to this guy I like and he sorta seemed surprised but now he makes an effort to come make small talk with me or call out "hey whats goin on" when he sees me in the hall even if i havent seen him, are these signs that he's interested? He comes to say goodnight to be if he's studying near me in the library too. He seems to try to joke around with me but we dont really know eachother or much about eachother since we only see eachother in the library

I'd say the goodnight thing is a clear sign he's interested. Why dont you ask him to hang out one night or something after you have both been in the library - nothing too serious so you can find out more about him

You merely ask, "Does this guy like you?" I say he does. If he didn't react to you on any level, I would asume he doesn't like you. So I would simply put it as light interaction. If you want more out of it, pursue it a little more, and actually have a conversation with him.

More info! What is your and his age? I assume from the message you are in college.
If yes, go out on a date. Good way to get to know him and find out if he has more than a passing interest.

He is probably looking for friendship right now. Maybe when you know each other well and become friends, you can move on and become girlfriend and boyfriend.

Ok well, watch his gestures, see if thier focused in a way on you, and if he laughs at a joke you say (even if its not funny), or if he seems nervous around you as well, than hes YOURS!!!

i think u caught him off guard, i think he was shy to say something but being u broke the ice I'm sure he likes you too,. ask him out or just go and have some coffee and get to know one another

He probably justs wants to be your friend...from what you wrote even if he doesn't like you he probably only wants to be friends first.
