I am wanting to move to the UK but I want to make friends first-where can I do this?

I am a 36 year old widow looking for good old-fashioned pen-pals. If I meet someone special great but I am really interested in friendships. I am wanting to move to Nort Eastern England or Scotalnd. Any one there have any ideas? I am currently living in Tennessee, USA.

Try some internet dating sites. Some of them have an option where you can get an email friend or an old fashioned pen friend. I'm on AnotherFriend.com It's may not be the best for your purpose as it is based in Ireland.

Try registering on a couple of Forums too where you can post messages and learn about Scotland and the North East of England. www.glasgowforum.co.uk and www.newcastleforum.co.uk might interest you. Most of the members on those sites live in the area.

the first thing i would suggest that you firstly join a penpal society in the united kingdom like www.britishpenpals.co.UK and secondly join a UK based forum on whatever it is that interests you like literature for example not that i need to tell you your interests in the forum find someone you "click" with and build it from there best of luck in the uk , from an Irish man

Try Sweden or Holland ... they're a nice race of people. There are nice people in England, such as myself, but it's not the nicest place on earth.
